Although Spain does not have as widespread a hockey tradition as some other countries, the few clubs the country does have are of an exceptionally high standard, and Spain is classed among the Big Four of the European game along with Germany, Holland and England.
Hockey is played to a some extent in all of the major cities, although it is in the Barcelona area where the sport is particularly thriving, and especially in the city of Terrassa, venue of the 1992 Olympic Games, and the surrounding towns.
This is where we focuse almost all of our Barcelona hockey tours and training camps, and visiting clubs have generally expressed nothing but admiration of the plush facilities on offer at the various clubs in the area, and at the standard of the hockey played by the local men and women.
We have unrivalled contacts on the Spanish hockey scene, and in association with the Catalan Hockey Federation we organise the annual Mercè Hockey Weekend in Barcelona every September.
Let us assist you
We can make all the arrangements for your hockey tour to Barcelona, Madrid or anywhere in Spain, including hotel bookings, coach transfers, fixture arrangements against local clubs, bilingual on-site assistance, museum & restaurant reservations and match tickets for FC Barcelona, RCD Espanyol and Real Madrid.
Friendly matches & cultural activities
We regularly arrange visits for visiting clubs and schools including friendly matches against local teams or placement in local competitions, complementing the tours with any additional tourist and cultural activities that the group may require.
Our valuable assistance is also regularly used by the organisers of hockey tournaments and festivals in the country. Together with the Catalan Hockey Federation we organise the annual Mercè Hockey Weekend in Barcelona every September.
